Is Beam a recruiter? Or a job board?

Neither! We’re more like a connector. We help innovative organisations hire high quality talent they’d otherwise struggle to find. Employers can decide how they want to work with us, with options from $500. They can run their own show on Beam’s online talent platform (from role writing to reference checking) or ask the switched-on Beam team to do it all. With a model that relies on placement fees, recruiters have a disincentive to advocate for part-time roles. We have consciously removed this barrier from hiring flexibly.

Is it easy to post a role on Beam?

Absolutely! Once you’ve registered as an employer with Beam, we’ll set you up with a super intuitive dashboard that lets you post roles to Beam’s jobs marketplace. As soon as your role is up, Beam’s part-time professionals can start applying! Remember, our talent is pre-vetted, so you can go straight to the shortlisting stage.

Is Beam’s talent based in Australia?

Yes. Our Beamers are all based in Australia (for now!) and have full working rights. We provide access to a pool of talent who understand the local market and can draw on extensive professional experience in Australia (or have parallel experience overseas).

Can I list remote/virtual jobs?

Definitely! Our remote roles attract great talent. Beam roles can be both onsite and/or remote (virtual). When you post a role, simply indicate your location preferences to ensure you are attracting the right talent.

What is the average number of applicants per job?

The number of applicants for jobs depends on many variables — location, job requirements, hours/days required, industry, salary/hourly rate, onsite requirements, etc.

Is there a commitment to hire once a job is posted?

We strive for 100% success in our matches. If you don’t find the right fit there is no commitment to hire.

Am I able to have a candidate sign an NDA?

Absolutely. We can even provide a basic NDA that you can tailor to fit your needs. However, keeping client information confidential is part of the terms that our talent sign when they join Beam.

What if I am not satisfied with the outcome?

Customer satisfaction is our absolute priority. If, for whatever reason, you are unsatisfied with your experience, we will work with you to ensure a successful resolution.
