We have some fantastic first clients on board and have proven product market fit over the past 6 months, and are now looking to grow the client base.

The role
We are bringing in our first HR Tech SaaS Business Development Manager who will be a key part of growing our impact through our new SaaS product, Beamible.

We are looking for a driven, effective and resourceful professional who has an existing network of HR professionals to connect into (our target is high growth tech companies and mid-cap companies cross industry), and can drive our ambitious business development plan.

In this role you will be working alongside a highly experienced team who will support and guide you every step of the way.

This is a newly created role, so you can make it your own and will have opportunity for leadership and growing the team as Beamible grows!

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with our co-founder to target C-level executives, especially HR executives, to engage in a conversation and demonstrate the value Beamible would bring to them.
  • Developing and driving a national sales strategy for Beamible
  • Generating sales leads and working with our Sales Development Representative to engage the leads for your BD meetings
  • Effectively manage the sales pipeline, with accurate forecasting
  • Educating prospects on Beam whilst creating and articulating compelling value propositions around our new platform
  • Proactively sourcing new leads through outbound activities, in addition to working with our SDR on inbound lead engagement
  • Qualifying prospects through engaging conversations to determine whether they are a good fit for our product
  • Working with our Marketing Manager to:
    • design industry-specific outbound strategies & map prospective client groups to target (i.e. building a pipeline of prospective clients)
    • ensure the right partnerships are made
    • ensure the right participants join a series of events within the next 12 months to grow the brand, cultivate new leads and deliver thought leadership
  • Using Hubspot to manage your pipeline (our CRM)
  • Responding to inbound leads (email, phone and platform inquiries) from new clients

What do we need?

  • A track record of strong sales performance – you are results driven
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen in developing product or service
  • Strong experience in business development – with related products / services
  • Strong experience developing sales strategies and approaches
  • Industry experience in one of more of the following: People & Culture, HR Tech SaaS products, or other SaaS sales
  • You have a high level of adaptability
  • Ability to solution sell to small and large clients
  • You have an ability to identify untapped opportunities and are optimistic by nature
  • Someone who can hit the ground running and tap into an existing HR database of clients
  • A high degree of resourcefulness and a real ‘action-taking’ approach to try new things to engage with leads
  • A superior understanding of the sales process and techniques used to acquire new customers
  • Someone who is self-motivated and goal-driven
  • A strong ability to multitask, organise, and prioritise work, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Humble, practical, can-do attitude
  • A genuine desire to create change for people at scale, through increased flexible working

Your experience

  • 3-4+ years of selling B2B in a SaaS / Web, HR, E-learning or talent software, with proven ability and examples of your ability to close.
  • Proven experience in effectively being able to present to business owners or managers – we do this face to face or via webinar (zoom)
  • Demonstrating, educating and closing clients and partners on the software and HR services via webinar (Zoom)
  • Proven ability in account management and up selling

What’s the deal?

  • Hours – we’re open. Anything from 2-5 days will work for us. We are flexible on hours and what days work best for you.
  • Location: Sydney preferred but as our team is 100% remote, we are open to those from anywhere in Australia or NZ. We share an office in the Sydney CBD if you prefer to work from an office.
  • Salary: $120k including Super FTE, + performance-based bonus
  • Commencement date: whenever you’re ready to start
