We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in developing and selling corporate programs, to join our incredibly passionate team!

This is a unique part-time specialist role with no staff management responsibilities and an opportunity to join a passionate team working in social change.

We are a for purpose organisation on a mission to build communities that respond compassionately around the end of life. Your primary responsibility will be to drive a sales strategy for our education and support programs.

Over the past 10 years, we have developed a range of solutions to meet the needs of individuals looking for a better, more inspiring way to engage with the challenging topic of end of life.

We have been primarily grant funded to date and are seeking opportunities to open up new opportunities to bring our solutions to the world. Our offerings include online training programs for individual subscription, to workplace engagement programs and more.

  • Work in collaboration with the CEO, Product Development Manager and Communications Director to shape programs and products to take to market.
  • Develop and drive a sales strategy for these programs and products
  • Manage the Sales Plan – testing and iterating on the strategy ongoing
  • Generate sales leads for referrals
  • Convert leads into sales, meeting set sales targets
  • Effectively manage your sales pipeline, with accurate forecasting
  • Put Sales systems and processes into place which will help drive efficiency and effectiveness in the role


  • Sales experience Sales and Marketing strategy expertise
  • Program/product design and packaging
  • Editorial/Copywriting IT skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to manage the pipeline, clients and growth opportunities autonomously


  • Digital production Communication Design Partnership development

We’re looking for someone who loves to build a business through sales, who loves to launch new offerings and take them to market, and who loves hitting sales goals!


  • A track record of strong sales performance – you are results driven
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen in developing product or service
  • Strong experience in business development – with related products / services
  • Strong experience developing sales strategies and approaches with a not-for-profit organisation
  • Industry experience in one of more of the following: health care sector, aged sector, corporate sector
  • You have a high level of adaptability
  • You prefer being independently pro-active
  • You have an ability to identify untapped opportunities and are optimistic by nature

What’s the deal?

  • 30 hours a week – these hours can be worked flexibly. We recognise and understand that caring duties and flexibility is required in response to life!
  • Initial 6 month contract, with high potential to extend based on your performance
  • Salary Package for the 6 month contract at 30 hours: $42,705 (base salary of $39,000 + $3,705 super). This is an full time equivalent of $108,186, plus NfP fringe benefits perks
  • We set you up for success to work from home – desk, chair, laptop, phone
  • We offer 10 compassionate leave days – we understand how important it is to take the time when you need it
  • Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia
  • Starting: as soon as possible, mid-August at the latest!
