The role

2019 will be a transformative year for our business. We’re growing our team and one of the key capabilities we’re bringing in is digital marketing. We need to execute on a content, SEO and SEM strategy – then test, learn and iterate. Analytics and innovation will be key to our success!

You’ll see the responsibilities listed below. We are also hiring a Growth Marketing specialist – so if you can see yourself doing both roles, please note this in your cover letter. We are open to hiring two specialists for this mandate, or one person instead. Either way, we’d like marketing coverage across the week as you’ll be central to the rest of the team’s operations and decisions.



We’re looking for a digital native who can optimise our marketing efforts and spend. You’ll work with our growth marketer, product and specialists like our content manager to execute campaigns on time and on budget, then measure their success and generate insights into future campaigns.

  • Marketing management:
    • Plan, execute, measure and report on all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
    • Manage marketing budgets and campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Growth
    • Identify optimisation initiatives at conversion points and optimise user funnels
    • Find and implement growth initiatives across all marketing media and user touchpoints
  • Collaboration
    • Collaborate with other specialists on the team and vendor partners
    • Evaluate emerging channels and technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
    • Work with the development / editorial and content teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on existing content and site and new releases
    • You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as
      • content strategy
      • link building
      • keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks.
    • You will also manage all SEM/PPC campaigns on Google to maximise ROI
    • Optimising copy and landing pages
    • Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
    • Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success
    • Execute tests, collect and analyse data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in PPC campaigns
  • Analytics
    • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
    • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

We’re looking for someone who loves to test, learn and optimise. You’ll operate within a  highly innovative, fast-paced and agile team, so it’s important you’ve worked in a start-up or high growth small business environment in the past.

To be successful, you’ll need:  

  • Demonstrated experience in managing digital marketing budgets, campaigns and results
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Demonstrated experience growing organisations with SEO/SEM and CRM software
  • Experience in setting up and optimising Google Adwords campaigns, landing pages and user funnels
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC Google, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and capability, data-driven thinking
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools like Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
