The role
We are building our team and need a strong HR Sales Development Representative who will be a key part of growing our impact through our new SaaS product, Beamible.

We are looking for someone who has worked as a SDR before, or in HR / People and Culture in recruitment, coordination or project management and would like to expand their commercial skills. Whatever your background is, this is an opportunity for someone who wants to join a tech company at the ground level and grow with it.

To be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy having engaging conversations with executives, is confident to reach out to executives to introduce the concept of Beamible, and is highly engaged with Beam’s mission. You will also need to be a super-organised and process-oriented person who is autonomous and a self-starter.

In this role you will be working alongside a highly experienced team who will support and guide you every step of the way.

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with our co-founder to target C-level executives, especially HR executives, to engage in a conversation, including prioritising leads and setting up meetings
  • Educating prospects on Beam whilst creating and articulating compelling value propositions around our new platform
  • Finding, researching, qualifying and nature outbound sales leads into high value prospects
  • Following up on all marketing leads with personal outreach to qualify the lead and schedule a conversation for our team to have with them
  • Proactively sourcing new leads through outbound activities such as tailored outreach to our target clients and cold calling prospective clients to introduce Beam
  • Qualifying prospects through engaging conversations to determine whether they are a good fit for our product
  • Working closely with our Marketing Manager to:
    • Design industry-specific outbound strategies & map prospective client groups to target
    • Ensure the right participants join a series of events within the next 12 months to grow the brand, cultivate new leads and deliver thought leadership
    • Engaging with our B Corp community
    • Expanding our database of prospects, and keeping meticulous records within Hubspot (our CRM)
  • Responding to inbound leads (email, phone and platform inquiries) from new clients

What do we need?

  • Someone with 1 – 2 years’ of HR experience or outbound B2B sales
  • Someone who enjoys engaging with prospects for the first time, is confident speaking with C-level executives (we can teach you the insights and content), and gets a thrill from successfully engaging prospects
  • Someone who can work collaboratively with our Co-founders, Marketing Manager and broader team, to hit growth milestones together
  • A high degree of resourcefulness and a real ‘action-taking’ approach to try new things to engage with leads
  • A strong understanding of the sales process and techniques used to acquire new customers
  • Someone who is self-motivated and goal-driven
  • A strong ability to multitask, organise, and prioritise work, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Someone with a humble, practical, can-do attitude – you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do the grunt work associated with building our company
  • A genuine desire to create change for people at scale, through increased flexible working

What’s the deal?

  • Part time: 3-5 days a week or equivalent. We are flexible on hours and what days work best for you.
  • Location: Sydney preferred but as our team is 100% remote, we are open to those from anywhere in Australia or NZ
  • Salary: $60k including Super FTE, with On Target Earnings (OTE) of $80k including Super FTE
  • Commencement date: ASAP!
