The role/s

The Office of Student Experience and Marketing is seeking two Marketing Managers to oversee the development and coordination of all aspects of marketing planning and activity related to their aligned units and programs as directed by the Senior Manager, Strategy.

The primary priority for the position is to develop and manage audience based marketing strategies that focus on the recruitment and retention of students. You will be responsible for understanding Western Sydney Uni’s audiences as well as end-to-end marketing to ensure we are deriving maximum value out of marketing and retention activities.

You will be deeply involved in outlining and strategizing highly effective and efficient audience experience across multiple channels and platforms.

You will also champion the values of Student Experience & Marketing (SEM) and ensure their practice aligns to these values and service delivery contributes to the overall student experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and managing audience based marketing strategies that inform robust and executable acquisition and retention plans in collaboration with key stakeholders;
  • Taking a significant role in the assessment and development of highly effective audience experiences across multiple channels;
  • Collaborating and fostering innovation with other teams within the SEM to ensure strategic objectives are being met;
  • Managing relationships with external partners and internal marketing stakeholders to report on key performance metrics and ensuring alignment on activities;
  • Taking a lead role in facilitating a high-performance culture which fosters a collaborative, innovative, values-driven, energetic and efficient team.

As our Marketing Manager, you will also hold formal supervisory responsibilities.

What’s the deal?

  • Fixed term 12 month contract
  • Hours: 1x role is Full-Time (35 hours a week); the other requires at least 28 hours a week and we’re open to chatting further about what could work for you (i.e. 5 shorter days).
  • Salary range: $120,879 to $134,189 per annum (HEW Level 8 – comprising Salary of $102,144 to $113,391 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
    • The agreed salary would then be pro-rated to agreed hours for the Part-Time role.
  • Location: While HQ is at the Hawkesbury campus, we have WFH policy (i.e. up to 2 days a week from home), and there’s an opportunity to work at other campuses 1 day a week (i.e. Parramatta or Penrith) and in turn we’d expect 1 day at least at the Hawkesbury campus.
  • Starting: We’d love you to start as soon as possible.
