The role

The purpose of this role is to build and write content for the platform, including policies, procedures, forms, templates and training packages. As our Senior Business Policy and Procedure Writer, you will work alongside the Founder, Kelly Brown, but you will predominantly work independently.

The role also provides an opportunity to grow with the organisation in Australia and the US.

The position is flexible in all aspects: days, times and location.

Key Accountabilities

The principal requirements of the role include:

  • Writing policy and procedures
  • Designing templates and forms
  • Drafting training packages
  • Summarising legal requirements for employers
  • Reviewing existing policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure they are relevant, suitable, clear and concise
  • Cross-referencing documentation to check and ensure consistency
  • Creating, writing and proofreading high quality, easy-to-understand (plain language) and accurate documentation

Essential skills & qualifications

To be a great fit, we are looking for the successful candidate to have the following attributes:

  • Ability to analyse and interpret State and Federal legislation with the purpose of designing policy, procedure, forms and templates to ensure compliance.
  • Highly developed policy research, development, and critical analysis skills
  • Excellent time management skills, including managing projects and competing demands and a demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with great attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easy to understand

Desirable skills & qualifications

The following skills are nice-to-haves: 

  • Experience in UK/US markets
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and obtaining grants
  • Canva or other similar tools
  • Drafting, editing and publishing blogs

The Deal

  • Salary: $80-$110k FTE (dependent on experience).
  • Days/hours: 25 hours across the week, but they can be done at any time.
  • Location: 100% remote role.
  • Start time: As soon you’re ready to start!
