Job Overview

Join PwC’s Risk Assurance team as a Senior Consultant within Risk and Compliance and foster
relationships with clients to improve their risk profile by strengthening their internal controls and risk
management processes.

The Opportunity

At PwC, we help Australian businesses, not-for-profits and governments create value and improve the
way they work. From improving healthcare and confidence across the financial services sector, to
creating smarter cities and igniting Australia’s start up industry, you’ll build trust in society and solve
important problems.

The Risk Assurance team brings this to life by developing risk management strategies and methodologies for a wide range of clients.

As an Internal Audit Senior Consultant your impact will be seen by building client relationships. You will
identify priority areas of risk and process improvement by understanding the organisation's strategy, systems, objectives, risks, control framework and regulatory environment.
Success does stem from a positive attitude, hard work and going the extra mile, but that’s not all!

You will:

  • Execute a range of internal audits, compliance and business process reviews under the direction
of an Internal Audit Manager and Partner
  • Develop and perform test plans and produce draft reports detailing results and observations
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues and build internal relationships
  • Liaise with clients and identify future opportunities
  • Develop internal audit and risk management strategies and methodologies for our clients

About you

The brief is simple…

You have a solid background in Internal Audit and Risk in financial services and are capable of
developing general controls. This may be from prior internal audit experience or you may have worked on projects involving monitoring system controls or process controls.

You’re passionate about audit and the creation and support of the internal audit functions. You thrive in a collaborative and innovative culture and want to join a firm that values problem solvers, the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and key stakeholders.

Your colleagues can vouch that you:

  • Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
  • Have approximately 3-5 years of risk and controls experience in financial services within an
internal audit function or through other experience
  • Strong technical skills in controls, risk, compliance and business process reviews
  • Be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of clients
  • Drive to develop professionally and build long term relationships
