The Australian Veterinary Association is a NfP that works in the interests of the Veterinary profession – the amazing people who take care of animals, big and small.

We are looking for an experienced Telesales Representative to contribute in generating sales revenue through advertising in AVA publications and at other external corporate events. We will provide training and scripts to support your talents in turning a conversation into a sale. 

Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Business Growth, you will be responsible for closing sale deals over the phone and maintaining good customer relationships. You will have the opportunity to input ideas and strategy to help increase sales and revenue. 

 

Role responsibilities

  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about sales opportunities
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
  • Enter and update customer information in the database
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
  • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

 

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a  telesales representative or other sales/customer service role, preferably in the area of advertising
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • A professional and confident phone manner
  • Experience preferably in a NfP or health related industry
  • A results driven mindset
  • An ability and comfort to work autonomously and unsupervised

 

The deal

Hours: 16 hours per week (can be 2 full days or spread out across the week during core business hours)

Location: Remote. You can work in the comfort of you own home. 🙂 

Salary: $30 per hour + commission + Super
